Cleveland, Mississippi
Located in the heart of the Mississippi Delta, the 28,000 square foot Grammy Museum Mississippi opened it’s door in March 2016 as the first Grammy Museum site outside of Los Angeles. Celebrating the performers, artists, and genres native to Mississippi and their influence on music history and culture, the museum integrates the rustic motifs of the Delta with the glossy glamour of the LA music industry. Engaging exhibits showcase iconic costumes, instruments, and other key artifacts alongside high-tech interactive stations which invite visitors to experience the music industry first hand by writing and recording a custom song, testing out new dance moves, and discovering new songs or old classics. Colorful timelines throughout the museum highlight key milestones at the Grammys, historic musical moments, and Mississippi’s impact on the music industry.
